If you can help lift, talk, hand out water, smile or have a pulse YOU can help at CU Move-in Day. We will meet at 9:30 at the CU Mens Village behind the baseball field.
Everyone is invited to come join us for this years picnic. Bring a friend or two and join the fun!
Bible Study on Wednesday Nights
Starting June 22 Keith McMahan will start leading a new bible study called Monday Morning Atheist. Make plans to join us at 6pm.
Monday Morning Atheist [noun] Definition:
Someone who believes in God but who works like He does not exist.
It’s an easy thing to believe in God but work like He doesn’t exist ― switching God off. You are most likely struggling with Monday Morning Atheism right now without even knowing it. The revolutionary new book, Monday Morning Atheist, provides insights on this struggle and ways to stop the switch. It will challenge most everything you have thought about work…and yourself.
Based on 10 years of research and field experience, Monday Morning Atheist provides compelling Biblical evidence and practical solutions. In it you will find the three lies of Monday Morning Atheism and how to counteract them with God’s promises.

A Note from our Missions Director, Rick Green:
Pray for our “Jerusalem” (Taylor County)
Jesus has commanded us to spread the Good News to all.
Our church is committed to obedience to our Lord and Savior and I want you to pray for the lost throughout the world.
Today, I want to charge you to pray specifically for our community. SCBC is here to glorify our King and to be a light to those around us. Make time to prayer walk (or drive) throughout our streets in preparation of coming community missions. There is power in prayer and God will lay a foundation before us so that many will come to know Him as Lord and Savior. If you would like to prayer walk or drive, but are not sure how to do it, please see me or any of the staff and we’ll let you know how to get started.
We are also commanded to be plugged in to a body of believers for worship, fellowship, and service. Here are opportunities here at SCBC that you can pray about to see where God wants you plugged in:
Sunday School Director Small Group Director
Nursery Director Music Director
Advisory Panel Member Building & Grounds Trustee
Finance Committee Member Hospitality Director
Bus Assistant Director Youth Assistant Director
Fellowship Committee Church Clerk
Church-wide Events Chairperson
Meal Train Chairperson
